Israeli army stops terrorists at Erez crossing

Thursday, February 09, 2006 |

Early Thursday morning the Israeli army stopped three men from crossing a checkpoint from Gaza to carry out a terror attack. When the three armed Palestinians attempted to cross through the VIP lane from Gaza into Israel, they fired at the soldiers. Israeli troops shot back, killing one of the three terrorists. It was reported that the soldiers also found a bomb in the area. The Al Aksa Martyrs’ Brigade and the Popular Resistance Committees claimed responsibility for the attack. On Wednesday soldiers also shot and killed an armed Palestinian approaching the Erez crossing.
