Monday, February 20, 2006 |

After a disappointing fall in their opening program, Sergei Sakhnovsky and Galit Chait were back on their feet as they performed their original dance at the 2006 Winter Olympics figure skating ice dance competition on Sunday. The Israeli dance duo will head into Monday’s final program, the free dance with an overall score of 86.72. The brother-sister team of Alexandra and Roman Zaretsky landed in last place following their first performance, but skated their way off the bottom and will enter their final performance with an overall score of 64.72. Michael Renzhin will be the first Israeli to compete in the Winter Olympics skiing competition also scheduled on Monday.
