Report: Israeli students don’t feel safe in school

Tuesday, February 21, 2006 |

The Ministry of Education’s annual report revealed that half of the pupils in Israeli schools have been physically bullied and a quarter said they do not feel safe at school. One out of every five teachers said they fear for their personal safety. Recommendations for dealing with these problems include fining parents of violent children, requiring children to call their teachers by their family name and allowing security guards to do security checks at school entrances.
