Castro opens 25 new stores abroad

The Israeli fashion chain, Castro, reported record sales of nearly $100 million and a net profit of nearly $10 million in addition to 25 stores opened abroad in 2005. While Castro opened only two new stores in Israel in 2005, the company opened 25 chain stories in Germany, Switzerland, Thailand, Ukraine, Latvia, Romania and St. Petersburg. Castro CEO Gabi Rotter declared Sunday that in 2006 he intends on doubling the number of the company's stores to 50. The chain currently includes 112 stores, in Israel and worldwide.
