Officers: Gaza land operation inevitable

Israeli Army officers have said they have no choice but to launch massive ground operations in the Gaza Strip because of their inability to eliminate the firing of Kassam rockets into Israel. Even though soldiers are stationed along the border, by the time they intercept terror cells Kassam rockets are usually in the air, too late for a soldier to prevent any harm. One officer said it is a matter of timing: when Israeli has enough of the rocket attacks, it will storm Gaza. Since the withdrawal of Jewish settlements from Gaza last summer, not one suicide bomber has succeeded in infiltrating into Israel from Gaza.
