Gaza in chaos, terrorists block roads

Monday, March 20, 2006 |

Dozens of terrorists from the Al Aqsa Martyr’s Brigade, a faction of Fatah, on Monday blocked the main road in the Gaza Strip exchanging fire with Palestinian security officials. Palestinians blocked the road transporting Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, heading from Gaza to Ramallah, in protest of the PA’s failure to provide jobs for them. Abbas held talks with Hamas’ Prime Minister designate Ismail Haniyeh. Palestinian policemen succeeded in breaking through the barricades and two were hospitalized after an ensuing gunfight.
