Yisrael Beitenu considers joining Kadima, must accept pullout

Thursday, March 30, 2006 |

Kadima, in the midst of establishing its new coalition, has not ruled out the possibility of including Yisrael Beitenu (Israel Our Home) if the party supports Appointed Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s plan to evacuate the Judea and Samaria settlements. Kadima official Roni Bar-On told Israel Radio that it’s possible for Yisrael Beitenu to be part of the Kadima government if it accepts the initiative. Avigdor Lieberman, head of Yisrael Beitenu has said he has not ruled out joining the Kadima government. He said the focus of the next government should be security and not withdrawal. He feels there is no need to hurry and will wait until next week to give his final answer. Yisrael Beitenu believes in a two-state solution as well as deporting Israel’s Arabs from Israel to a created Palestinian state.
