PA foreign minister dreams of land without Israeli state

Monday, April 03, 2006 |
Palestinian Foreign Minister Mahmoud al-Zahar told a Chinese News Agency that his dream is to hang a huge map on the wall of his Gaza home in which Israel does not appear. “I am sure there is no room for the State of Israel on this land,” he said. Al-Zahar did not rule out the possibility of Jews, Moslems, and Christians living together in a Moslem state. He emphasized Hamas’ goal to destroy the State of Israel and said the world will eventually understand its importance. He also declared that Hamas’ military wing would not disarm as he said the Palestinians must defend themselves. Sources from Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s office said al-Zahar is carrying on the Iranian strategy to wipe Israel off the map.
