Two rockets fall on kibbutz north of the Gaza Strip

Thursday, April 06, 2006 |
Palestinians fired two rockets from the northern Gaza strip, which landed in Kibbutz Zikim on Thursday morning. No one was hurt, but one person was treated for shock and the rocket started a fire near a mattress factory. On Wednesday, Palestinians fired eight Qassam rockets at Israeli communities near Gaza. Israeli army officials said they boosted their anti-Qassam campaign and already see a slight change in rocket-launching cell who are staying away from the beach area for fear of being hit by Israeli navy vessels. Only a few cells are carrying out attacks and they are finding it difficult to move around the Strip. In other action, the army arrested twenty militants Wednesday night, including a woman who was preparing to carry out a suicide bombing.
