Britain’s Sunday Times reported that Israel saved Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas from a Hamas assassination plot. According to the newspaper, Hamas was planning to target the PA leader and Mohammed Dahlan, a member of Fatah as they were about to head to the Gaza Strip early Sunday morning. Earlier this month, the PA found a tunnel beneath Abbas’ home in Gaza, but he currently lives in Ramallah.
