The first international level hockey and ice hockey center is to be built in Hod HaSharon, just north of Tel Aviv with a $15 million investment and will serve as a winter sports center. The construction, which is scheduled for November, was made possible through the contributions of Jewish investors from Canada and the United States. The Center is to be multi-functional with a basketball, handball, volleyball and indoor soccer arena and ice for hockey, figure skating, and acrobatic skating. The investors see this as a combination of Zionism and business and a way to advance winter sports in Israel.
