The Israeli Air Force (IAF) attacked Palestinian terrorist bases in Lebanon on Sunday shortly after Katyusha rockets were launched at Israeli army bases in northern Israel. One Israeli soldier suffered from shock. The IAF carried out two air raids striking the bases of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), which according to reports six were lightly wounded. “The Israeli army sees the Lebanese government as responsible for all terror attacks emanating from Lebanese territory targeting Israeli land,” the army said in a statement. No group claimed responsibility for the attacks even though Hezbollah possesses thousands of rockets, but the PFLP also has a history of launching Katyushas at Israel. “As long as these extremist groups remain armed, they are a threat to stability,” Foreign Ministry Spokesman Mark Regev said.
