Police arrest ultra-Orthodox for rioting

Monday, May 29, 2006 |  Natanel Doron

Police arrested 10 ultra-Orthodox men in Jerusalem on rioting charges during a protest against an autopsy ordered on an infant's body. The body of the baby was stolen and the ultra-Orthodox members attacked police officers and set garbage bins on fire. Some 500 members of the community came to protest the autopsy, breaking windows and causing severe damage to buildings. Police are working with the community to find the body. The baby died of high fever, which doctors feel could’ve been prevented with proper antibiotic treatment.
