For the first time since Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza, Israeli special forces entered into the Gaza Strip striking terrorist groups that planned on firing Qassam rockets into Israel. Palestinian sources claimed that four members of Islamic Jihad were killed and eight were wounded. There had been great panic in the area as troops entered into the heart of Gaza into the town of Beit Lahiya. Sending in ground troops was part of the army’s active operations against terrorism. Palestinians said they will use all means necessary to reach Qassam launching sites and retaliate.
