Qassam rockets hit Sderot, two suffer from shock

Members of the Islamic Jihad terror group fired four Qassam rockets from the Gaza Strip, one which landed on a Sderot apartment not far from Defense Minister Amir Peretz’s home, wounding two Israelis on Wednesday. The victims were hospitalized. The other rockets exploded on gas canisters and another landed in open territory. The Israeli army responded with artillery shelling in northern Gaza and plan to step up their ground operations. “Only war, face-to-face, will solve the problem, not security rooms or government funding,” Sderot Mayor Eli Moyal told Israel Radio. “No sane country would stand for its sovereignty being violated ten times a day, while it strikes against open areas.”
