Israel’s summer concerts opened on Saturday night at the Bloomfield Stadium in Tel Aviv with the hip-hop group, the “Black Eyed Peas.” It has been six years since Israel has attracted the world’s top groups to give live performances. Israel expects 50 cent, Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode, and Sting later this summer. The Peas’ leader said, “All we hear about you on TV is bad news. This is the first time I’m here and it looks to me like the most beautiful land on earth.” He described Tel Aviv as a European city, yet more exotic.
