Hamas, Fatah deadly clashes continue

Monday, June 05, 2006 |  Natanel Doron

A large explosive device detonated outside a home in the Jabalya refugee camp in the Gaza Strip on Monday killing Ahmed Khali, a Hamas member and wounding two of his relatives. The attack was the latest of clashes between Hamas and Fatah terrorist factions and just hours before Hamas’ ultimatum to accept a plan for Palestinian State that recognizes Israel ended. An Israeli army spokesman said that there were no Israeli operations at the time of the explosion. In other areas of Gaza bystanders and many caught in the crossfire were killed. In a separate incident, Hamas militants stormed a Palestine TV broadcast facility in the southern Gaza Strip, kicking workers out of the building and destroying equipment in a shooting rampage, employees said. There were no reports of injuries.
