The High Court of Justice ruled on Tuesday that the imprisoned assassin of former Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, Yigal Amir, and his wife Larissa Trimbobler, may have a child. The court rejected petitions by Amir to have a child via artificial insemination. “The whole debate was redundant and it is a shame that several months of our time have been wasted due to this nonsense, which is a long time considering our circumstances,” said Trimbobler. “I am concerned that the issue will continue to be dragged out.” Amir was fined and sentenced to 30 days without visitors after police caught him trying to smuggle sperm samples to his wife.
