As Qassam rockets continued to fall on Sderot, Mayor Eli Moyal called on Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and his government to resign on Monday for their failure to defend the southern Negev town. Moyal told Israel Radio that if the government is unable to defend, it must step down. Immediately after, Justice Minister Haim Ramon told Israel Radio that if the attacks continue, the Israeli Army would step up its defense against Qassam launchers. President Moshe Katsav is scheduled to visit Sderot on Monday. Immediately after, the battered town will seal off all entrances and exits as part of a 24-hour protest. “As of tomorrow, Sderot is going on strike and no one will enter or leave it," Moyal said.
