Israeli army orders restriction on activists

Sunday, June 25, 2006 |  by Staff Writer
GOC Central Command Yair Naveh signed orders last week restricting 13 extreme-right activists’ movements suspected of violence against Palestinian civilians and Israeli security forces. Activists will be restricted from either living in settlements in Judea and Samaria or those living inside the Green Line will be prohibited from entering Judea and Samaria. The list was compiled by the Shin Bet’s (Security Services) Jewish Division and the Judea and Samaria Police District. The orders were signed in conjunction with the slated evacuation of further illegal outposts in Judea and Samaria next month. Restrictions will range from three months to a year and will go into effect within the next few days.
