20,000 Shekels offered to kill gays

Protesters in the ultra-Orthodox neighborhood of Mea Shearim distributed fliers on Tuesday offering a 20,000 shekel (nearly $4,500) reward for killing gays during the World Gay Pride Jerusalem Parade to take place next month. The flier offered to pay “anyone who causes the death of one of the people of Sodom and Gemorrah.” The flier also encouraged people to use homemade firebombs and even instructed them how to make the bombs. The Jerusalem Municipality and Knesset Members called on the police to open a criminal investigation on the distributors on charges of incitement to violence as they condemned the flier.
