The al-Aksa Martyrs’ Brigades claimed that they kidnapped a Border Patrol soldier in the West Bank. The Border Patrol published an official denial stating that the report was not true and as a result of their investigation confirmed that a soldier was not kidnapped and that all Border Patrol soldiers were accounted for either at their base or at home.

The al-Aksa Martyrs’ Brigades even published the name of the Border Patrol soldier that was supposedly kidnapped. An additional investigation made by the Border Patrol revealed that there was no soldier that fit the description that was given by the terror organization.
