Israel has called up thousands of reserve soldiers to take part in the fighting or to take over in Judea and Samaria, in order to allow the army’s regular forces to move north.

Michael Schneider, Israel Today co-editor, and Netanel Doron, reporter, were among those called up.

Emergency calls went out to 5,000 reservists on Friday to report for duty. Entire reserve divisions have been drafted in order to train for operations along the northern and southern borders.
