Israel has information on the three kidnapped soldiers

Vice Premier Shimon Peres visited yesterday with the family of the wife of Ehud Goldwasser, one of the two soldiers kidnapped in Lebanon.

Peres said that according to information Israel has the two soldiers who were kidnapped in Lebanon and the soldier, Gilad Shalit, who was kidnapped in Gaza, are safe and sound. “The Lebanese foreign minister took upon himself and upon the Lebanese government responsibility for the fate of the two kidnapped soldiers when he reported on them,” he added.

Peres also said that he is convinced that the soldiers will return home safe and sound because that is one of the goals of the operation in Lebanon.

The father of the kidnapped soldier, Shlomo Goldwasser said that he is expecting information on the fate of his son from the International Red Cross.

As such, representatives of the families of the kidnapped soldiers will be traveling to France within the next few days to press for the release of their loved ones.
