The body of Dr. Danny Yaakovi from a settlement in Samaria was found Thursday in the trunk of his car near Nablus. Police and army personnel believe the murder was terror-, not criminally motivated.

Yaakovi, 59, lived in Yakir with his wife Hani for 21 years. He leaves behind Hani, four children and 12 grandchildren. He worked as a doctor in a number of hospitals.

Police believe that Yaakovi wen to a village nearby on Thursday to have his car fixed. It is suspected that he was then attacked and murdered, and his body was burned very shortly thereafter.

His body was found after the defense establishment received intelligence of a car on fire. Reserve soldiers who searched the area found the car, with Israeli license plates, completely burnt.
