A rise in donations to the Libi Fund

The Libi Fund - a Fund for the Strengthening of Israel’s Defense, and which cares for the education, medical and social needs of the Israel Defense Forces soldiers, has reported a sharp rise in donations from both Jews and Evangelical Christians to the IDF from all around the world since fighting broke out in Gaza and in the north.

There has been a rise both in the number of donations, as well as the size of the contributions. Many Jews from all over the world have contacted the fund’s representatives and affiliates around the world and asked to give their donations to the IDF. Among the donations, thousands and tens of thousands of dollars were given. Also tens of plasma screens were donated to Air Force units, both squadrons and anti-aircraft units.

Libi-France has donated dozens of special vests for the doctors fighting with the troops. These are special vests designed so the doctor does not have to carry a bag with all the medical equipment, but can store his equipment in special pockets sown onto the vest.

The Libi Fund has also been flooded with support letters and e-mails from Jews from all over the world, as well as from Evangelical Christians.

Chairman of the fund Maj. General (Ret.) Danny Matt said: “We are happy for the support Israel and the IDF are getting around the world. These contributions, just like all contributions given to Libi, will be passed to the IDF based on the decisions of the supervisors and based on the needs of the army. It is important to mention that new armored ambulances purchased with money donated to the Libi Fund, were recently put into service. These ambulances are taking part in the fighting and are saving lives in battles both in the north and in the south.”
