In reaction to the latest terror bombings in Turkey this week, the Israeli Counter Terrorism Bureau published a travel warning to all Israelis arriving in Turkey.
Sources in Israel say that the bombings were the work of the Kurdish resistance, PKK. “As of now it is unclear if this series of bombings will continue,” the CTB’s statement read.
The Bureau is recommending that Israelis in Turkey stay in the resorts and hotels and not venture into crowded places such as shopping centers, bazaars, restaurants, etc. There is a call for a general adherence to proper behavior abroad including hiding Israeli markings, not receiving gifts from strangers, or invitations to free recreation, and prevent strangers from entering your room at the hotel.
In the event that the bombings continue, the CTB will reevaluate the travel warning.
As for the Sinai, the CTB has upgraded its warning and calls for all Israelis to not enter Sinai due to concrete terror threats, and calls for all Israelis to leave immediately. The statement read that “the danger of kidnapping Israelis in the Sinai has been upgraded to severe and that all Israelis should leave.”
