A building used to store weaponry in Gaza was hit last night, and two Tanzim operatives were arrested in the West Bank city of Tulkarm, after several failed attempts to launch rockets into Israel.

The two arrested in Tulkarm yesterday were a part of the Tanzim faction of Palestinian Authority Chairman Abu Mazen’s Fatah movement and were said to have been trained by Hizballah operatives to launch homemade low-grade rockets into Israel.

Security sources say that the cell brought down by a joint effort of several security forces, was an example of how Hizballah is attempting to infiltrate the West Bank and Gaza and improve the terror infrastructure there.

In the overnight air strike, a building in the village of Al Atatra in northern Gaza used as a weapons depot was hit by the Israeli Air Force, destroying it and the weapons inside. The IDF Spokesperson issued a statement saying that in order to avoid needless casualties, the local population was warned to stay away from buildings used by terror groups to store weaponry and launch rocket attacks against Israel.
