A wave of high ranking international visitors will be arriving in Israel in the coming days: Five heads of State and Foreign Ministers within a week.

The current wave began last week with the visit of UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.

The next major visit will be Saturday evening when British Prime Minister Tony Blair will arrive and meet with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Foreign Minster Tzipi Livni and Defense Minister Amir Peretz. Blair may meet with the families of the kidnapped soldiers as well.

Prior to that, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will arrive on Thursday, followed by Italian Foreign Minister Massimo D'Alema on Friday. Polish President Lech Kaczyński will arrive on Sunday, and Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Moratinos will arrive on Monday.

At the same time, several solidarity delegations are also due to arrive, including members of the US Congress Intelligence Committee, and a delegation from the American Jewish Congress. The Economics and Trade ministers of Albania are also planning to arrive.
