Fuad: Israel should assassinate Nasrallah

Tuesday, October 03, 2006 |  by Staff Writer

National Infrastructure Minister and member of the Security Cabinet Binyamin “Fuad” Ben Eliezer (Labor) said this weekend that Israel should assassinate Hizballah chief Hassan Nasrallah when the time is right.

Ben Eliezer, a former senior Israel Defense Forces officer and Defense Minister, said that Nasrallah is dangerous to everyone, including the Arabs. “The IDF is a great army but its performance was bad and a failure. If the Chief of Staff had said that two weeks were needed to prepare the army for war, everything would have looked differently,” he said.

Ben Eliezer estimated that within a few months war could break out again in Lebanon because the agreement reached in the area will not last, and Hizballah will continue getting stronger behind the backs of the Lebanese army and the international force.
