The international pressure to stop Israeli Air Force flights over Lebanon has been increasing in the past days.
The United Nations is demanding that Israel stop their flights over Lebanon because they constitute a breach of the ceasefire agreement within UN resolution 1701.
The United States has also joined that demand and has asked Israel to consider stopping the flights in return for intelligence images captured by American spy satellites hovering over Lebanon and monitoring all military activities in the region. France has also passed a similar proposal to Israel using their spy satellites.
Since the end of the war, Israel has refused to halt its flights over Lebanon and is saying that as long as the arms embargo on Lebanon, as stipulated in resolution 1701, is not fully implemented, there is a need to continue the flights in order to gather the necessary intelligence on weapons smuggling into Lebanon and to Hizballah.
