The Ethiopian lifestyle is based on sustainability. Included in the many challenges that Ethiopian immigrants face on arrival in Israel is the transition to a high-tech and consumerist society. Adapting will be easier in future: sustainability already plays an important role in the conservation-minded West, and is now gaining a more central role in environmental education in Israel.
