"And when you come into the land and have planted all kinds of trees for food..."
In the Jewish calendar Tu Bishvat is marked as the New Year of trees.
Israel Today staff and the people of Israel celebrated the Tu Bishvat holiday by planting trees. The Jewish National Fund reported that a record 600,000 trees were planted over the holiday. Israel Today joined over 260 cities, towns and communities throughout Israel and hundreds of thousands of Israelis participated throughout the country to make the record possible.
Israeli soldiers planted trees on Tu Bishvat in order to protect residents who live under rocket fire every day. Help us replant the land.
