Israeli soldiers are on alert 24/7. They do not take time off, and even on holidays, they must be ready to protect the people of Israel. Help be a comfort and show your appreciation for them.

The Jewish people have not always had an army to protect them. Purim is the Jewish festival of redemption, celebrating the failure of Haman's plot to kill all the Jewish people. Help Israeli children celebrate this festive holiday.

According to the Book of Esther in the Hebrew Bible Haman, royal vizier to King Ahasuerus, planned to kill all the Jews in the empire, but his plans were foiled by Mordecai and his adopted daughter, Queen Esther. It took God's intervention in the person of Esther to save the Jewish people.

Today, Israel has its own military to protect the Jewish people. The Israel Defense Forces swear to be a guard against all who would kill or oprress Jews, either in Israel or abroad. You can be a blessing to an Israeli soldier this winter by purchasing a special care package that is certain to warm our troops as they not only defend us, but face harsh weather conditions.

The soldiers receive these packages knowing that loving Christians from around the world have reached out to embrace them. The gesture and the sentiment has not gone unnoticed. Click here to show a soldier you appreciate the sacrifice being made.
