Life Under Terror

Posted on 6/15/2014 by Ariel Rudolph

On Thursday night three young Israelis were kidnapped by Palestinian terrorists in Judea. For over two days now, the IDF and Special Forces have been conducting a day-and-night operation looking for the boys.

Overnight on Saturday, security forces arrested 80 palestinians amongst them Hamas leaders.

The IDF spokesperson, Brigadier General Moti Almoz, said that the current mission is to bring the three Israeli teenagers home safely and as soon as possible. “We are concentrating all of our intelligence efforts on trying to track down the missing individuals.”

IDF Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz, addressed the issue at a press conference on Saturday night confirming that "all units of the IDF are currently working closely with Israel's Shin Bet secret service and special forces of the Israeli police and border police”.

In the past years kidnapping became a terrorists’ tool and during the past two years, many attempts have been made to abduct Israeli soldiers or civilians in order to use them as bargaining chips for the release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails.

According to the information, provided by the IDF, dozens of kidnapping attempts have been thwarted in cooperation with Israeli intelligence organizations since the beginning of 2013. We pray that our boys be returned back home and also for our soldiers who constantly risk their lives for the security of Israeli citizens.
