Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.
Children are considered a blessing, especially in Israel and predominantly religious Jerusalem. Parents speak favorably about their offspring and on Shabbat we traditionally see fathers bless their children. Unfortunately many fathers are unable to fulfil their obligations.
The statistics on poverty in Israel speak volumes. There is an alarming rise in the number of children in the poverty figures in Israel. Particularly among religious families, which in turn makes Jerusalem the city with the highest number of children living under the poverty line.
Israel Today has been committed for many years to ensuring a quality of life for all Israeli children.
Together we will be able to step up to the plate and help poor children.
