Sadly, many Christians disregard prophecy as esoteric and tend to deal with other more “practical” elements of the Bible. Therefore, it is not only the Jews who have a veil over their eyes with regard to their Messiah (2 Corinthians 3:12-16), but also many Christians, blind to the prophetic word of God, have a veil over their eyes with regard to Israel.
This veil is woven from threads of replacement theology, which teaches that the Church has taken the place of Israel. Therefore, all the biblical promises made to Israel are no longer valid for her, but rather, have been inherited by the Church.
