Syrian Minister: Israel behind Lebanese assassination
In an interview with a Spanish newspaper, a Syrian minister accused Israel of being behind the assassination of the Lebanese industry minister murdered last week.

“Israel and her partners stand behind the assassination of [Lebanese] Parliament Member Pierre Gemayel,” said Syria’s Information Minister Mohsen Bilel in an interview with the Spanish newspaper Elperidico.

He claimed that whoever accuses Syria of the assassination is influenced by the Lebanese political line defeated by the success of Hizballah against Israel this summer.

“The parties that committed the crime are the same forces that earlier invaded Lebanon to destroy its infrastructures and kill its civilians,” he said.

“The crime aimed at rescuing the Lebanese government that has lost its credibility, speed establishment of the international court without discussing its subject, transform and stir up the public opinion against Syria and to hinder the closer ties between the West and Syria.”

He also said that Syria wants peace and acknowledgement in the Middle East. Peace is dependent on the return of the Golan Heights, Israeli withdrawal to the 1967 borders and the creation of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

3 .  The Burden of Damascus:Isaiah 17
Shalom! Why(if they did) doesn''t the Syrians just go ahaed and take the credit for it? If we Jews wanted Gemayel dead we would have done it when we went into Lebanon. I have a feeling that Damascus is about to be no more...

4 .  evidence please
The assassination has destabilised Lebanon to the brink of civil war. Who benefits from it? Hizbollah and her Muslims. It further undermines an alraedy weak Lebanese government that desperately tries to break free from Syria. Islamic protests in the streets, Islamic cries to Syria for support - bingo. Syria and her henchmen back in full power. Go figure.

5 .  False flag operation
I believe in false flag operation commited by Mosad. In order to know who lies behind the action, we should understand the motive of assacination and who is binificary out of that.

6 .  YOU DID NOT KNOW THAT!!
Wayne Matsens analysys, american famous journalist, make every rational thinking one believe that it was another typical Mosad false flag operation exact like the killing of Hariri. If you think deeply the only who benifit of this crime is Iseael and Neo-cons in USA. Wayne wrote that the assacination of Hariri was one year earlier dicided by Washington and Tel Aviv. Not only muslims countries know that but, money people who understand the rulesof this dirty game know who killed these persons.

8 .  SYRIA
Just what do you expect out of a country like this? Have they ever told the truth. I don''t think they know how. They are just as disgusting as their leader. And they call themselves human beings. If your gov. gives back the Golan Heights, there will be no stopping the hezbollah from working their sinful ways. They will have the height to launch the rockets at all of you. Tell your gov. no absolutely no to giving any more land away.

9 .  The Pathologically deviant regime in Damascus
The corrupt and pathologically deviant regime in Damascus is known for its murderous actions both in the Harriri murder and the Gemayel murder. I would not be surprised that this regime and the country would soon go down the pipes smoked out for their continued heinous crimes against humanity.

10 .  Asian parrot
And how exactly would Israel benefit from the assassination? Instead of parrotting Islamic loudspeakers, put some backing and reasoning into your empty accusations - if you can.
