Israeli boy dies of rocket-inflicted wounds

A 13-year-old Israeli boy died last week of wounds sustained during a Palestinian rocket attack on the southern town of Sderot.

Haim Shalom - who was deaf, mute and crippled - was critically wounded while riding in a bus with four other physically-challenged children. All of the passengers were wounded, as was the bus driver.

For unexplained reasons, the attack was not widely reported, nor was Shalom, who died a short time later at a nearby hospital, declared a terror victim.

Two more rockets hit Sderot and surrounding areas on Thursday, causing no injuries or damage.

Israeli Minister for Strategic Affairs Avigdor Lieberman recommended that Israel declare Gaza an "enemy entity" and sever all ties with the territory and the Palestinian Authority officials based there. Furthermore, Israel should expand its bombing campaign in Gaza until the rocket attacks on southern Israel stop.
