Olmert meets with Giuliani

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert met with front-running US presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani in New York on Monday to discuss the current situation in the Middle East.

There were no reports of details from the meeting.

Giuliani, like every other Republican Party hopeful, is busy trying to attract the Jewish and other minority votes. The former New York mayor is expected to garner the votes of most conservative American Jews, having been a long-time and outspoken supporter of the State of Israel.

Olmert is in the US for meetings with the Bush Administration over the Iranian nuclear threat, the possibility of war with Syria, and the conquest of Gaza by the Palestinian terror group Hamas.
