A power plant recently built near the Israeli town of Hadera has successfully managed to produce large amounts of electricity by processing cow manure.

According to daily business newspaper Globes, the Tambour Hefer Ecology plant is using 600 tons of cow manure to produce up to 2 megawatts/hour of electricity, which is already being pumped into the national electrical grid.

The plant was built after government regulators ordered dairy farms in the area to reduce pollutants produced by their 12,000 cows.
