Palestinians uproot Jewish vineyard

Hundreds of Palestinian Arabs flanked by television crews and a few extremist left-wing Israelis uprooted some 5,000 young grape vines in the Samarian Jewish community of Dolev on Wednesday.

The Palestinian governor of Ramallah, the de facto capital of the Palestinian Authority, participated in the unprovoked destruction, reported Israel National News.

The owner of the vineyard said he informed the Israeli authorities on Tuesday that he had received word of the planned riot. However, Israeli troops only arrived after the Arabs had destroyed more than half of the vines.

While such attacks by Palestinians on Jews living in the biblical lands of Judea and Samaria are not uncommon, they are regularly ignored by the international mainstream media, and are rarely reported on by the mainstream Israeli press.

By contrast, nearly every claim of Jewish settlers uprooting Palestinian olive trees, whether it is accurate or not, becomes headline news in papers around the world and on global television networks.
