Iran has plans to bomb Israel

Iran's defense establishment on Wednesday said it had drawn up plans for a major aerial and missile strike on Israel if the Jewish state dares to attack suspected nuclear targets inside the Islamic Republic.

“We have drawn up a plan to strike back at Israel with our bombers if this regime (Israel) makes a silly mistake,” Iran's deputy air force chief, Gen. Mohammad Alavi was quoted by The Associated Press as telling the semi-official Fars news agency.

Alavi also noted that all of Israel is within range of Iran's medium-range ballistic missiles, 600 of which are currently armed and aimed at the Jewish state.

The threat comes one week after a squadron of Israeli jets reportedly bombed a North Korea-supplied nuclear installation deep inside Syria, Iran's strongest regional ally. Following that raid, Iran said it would militarily defend Syria against further attacks.
