UN solidifies creation of 'Israel-bashing' council

A United Nations General Assembly committee on Friday furthered the transformation of the UN Human Rights Council from anything resembling a body concerned with global human rights to one that focuses solely on condemning the Jewish state.

By a vote of 167 to 7, UN Watch reported that the committee approved a package altering the procedural mechanisms of the Human Rights Council in the following ways:

The Council will no longer retain or hear from country monitors or experts reporting specifically on rights abuses in Cuba or Belarus;
The remaining 10 country monitors, who report on abuses in countries such as Sudan and North Korea, are now in a "review process" pending the termination of their services;
New guidelines have been implemented that make it next to impossible to pass a resolution condemning any nation by name;
Israel is the exception to all the above rules, and is now under permanent indictment and will feature as a special agenda item any and every time the council meets.

I don''t like the UN for a lot of reasons and it should maybe be disbanded, even, but this particular event is not why at all. By the way, Israel does commit human rights abuses, in greater numbers than in Cuba or Belarus (in fact, these two countries have none or close to none).

This is just so ludicrous, that such prejudice against Israel, is blatantly being enforced by the UN. And what''s so incredible is, that the US, by allowing the UN to stay here in our country, shows support for their decision. If not, then, the US should kick them out, now! I don''t understand how our government can say, that it supports Israel on the one hand, and on the other, it allows such as the UN, and it''s prejudice against Israel, to exist in our country. And also, that the US is dividing their land to give to the Palestinians, for a joke, of a peace plan. And besides, all of that, our governments funding of Fatah. Apparently the only use for the UN is to condemn Israel. They have now shown that they accomplish nothing for any humanitarian good, for any nation, anywhere, care for no human rights, have no concern for abuse of anyone.
