Hamas radio from Jerusalem's Temple Mount

A Hamas-controlled radio station began broadcasting from atop Jerusalem's Temple Mount on Wednesday.

The terror group called the start of the daily broadcasts a victory over efforts to "Judaize" the holy site.

Meanwhile, Israeli police prevented a group of Jewish worshippers from ascending the Temple Mount on Wednesday to mark the 10th day of the Hebrew month of Tevet, which commemorates the Babylonian siege of Jerusalem and destruction of the First Temple.

Israel often prevents Jews and Christians from ascending the Temple Mount under threat of violence from the Muslims who occupy Judaism's holiest site.
