Israel responds fiercely as Gaza terror is unleashed

Four Israelis, including a seven-year-old child, were wounded on Tuesday when 25 rockets fired by Gaza-based Palestinian terrorists slammed into the southern Israel town of Sderot and surrounding communities. Many other Israelis were treated for shock.

An Iranian-supplied Katyusha missile was also fired at the port city of Ashkelon. The missile landed next to a community tennis court, causing damage but no injuries. A number of mortar shells were also fired at shorter-range targets.

Earlier in the day, a Palestinian Arab sniper operating along the Gaza security fence shot dead an Ecuadorian laborer going about his morning duties at a farming community in southern Israel.

Israeli forces responded to the initial attacks with a series of fierce strikes on terrorist positions embedded among civilian neighborhoods in Gaza City. At least 19 Palestinians were killed in the strikes, including the son of local Hamas leader Mahmoud Zahar.

Zahar vowed to take revenge by escalating attacks against southern Israel.

Despite the fact that nearly all of the Palestinians killed in the Israeli strikes were armed terrorists, US-backed Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas accused Israel of committing a massacre. Abbas has for years refused to take decisive action against the terrorists, and has regularly labeled Israel a perpetrator of war crimes for doing the job.

Israeli President Shimon Peres retorted that Israel sadly has no choice but to resort to firm military action in the face of incessant terrorist attacks.

How could this man be so blind as to say Israel is commiting massacres when Aabbas has been commiting massacres for years? Israel is just defending itself from these people. They are shooting missles everyday by the dozens. The world has a warped way of seeing that it is the Palestinians that are the ones that are the attackers - not Israel. The world needs to wake up, it''s not Israel that is wrong.

Israel is being pressured from the United States and the UN,to refrain from "violence" in dealing with terrorist that want to destroy Israel. Israel needs economic and military aid/parts from the US, the US needs oil from Israels neighbors,the UN needs US money.Alot of appeasment and "in bed" going on here......

It is a historical fact that before 1933 prophets went into the synagogues of Germany and warned the people to flee. As usual, the people did not believe the prophets. The result? "I will send the hunters" (Jeremiah).

Terrorism

I have read the comments made and I am saddened that the government of Israel doesn''t listen for the voice of G-d.

It seems to me that the idea that Israel can have a secular, socialist state is a pipe dream that needs to be put to rest. There can be no peace until the G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is revered and worshipped. And that He provided Y''shua to be the attonement for the sins of Israel and the nations.

Mr. Bush, Mr. Olmert, Mr. Perez and everyone else involved need to repent (tshuvah), flee their wickedness and call on G-d to deliver them from the madness that propels us closer to the time of Jacob''s trouble.

BBC Bias reporting

Check the BBC website and read their Biased report on this incident. Yes they talk about Palestinians and make the Israeli response as the perpetrator of the clash instead of the other way around. They call it Israeli incursion of Gaza and if yo don''t know the real story you would despise the Israeli retaliation.

If Abbas, is going to accuse Israel of a massacre, I say, they may as well, give them one. And they should kill, everyone of those terrorists, that they can. Because if, Israel doesn''t kill them, the terrorists will definitely, keep trying to kill the Israeli''s. So, it''s kill, or be killed. Israel should line up their merkavah''s and invade, showing no mercy. That''s all these terrorists understand. Round up the women and children, put them on Israeli school buses, and leave them off at the Syrian border. Let these other Arab nations take them. The facts are clear, the so called palestinians, small case intentional, have no intention of making any kind of peace EVER. And the world at large considers Jewish blood cheap. And unfortunately the deluded president of my country, BUSH is as insane as any out there, altho he may have his motives, he is WRONG. There will be no peace and the only solution is to wipe out the palestinians, and if civilians get killed, so be it, this is war, and Israel did not initiate it.

What other country on earth would tolerate being shelled and rocket attacked daily by it'' neighbor, and where else would the world watch and EXPECT Israel to do nothing, and when Israel does.........they all complain that Israel acted without due cause etc. and perpetrated an intrusion on innocent people and all that nonsense.
