Abbas threatens to nix peace talks over bogus Gaza power crisis

Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas has threatened to suspend peace negotiations over Israel's latest measures against the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, an Egyptian newspaper reported on Monday.

A limited Israeli fuel embargo imposed in response to escalating rocket attacks from Gaza on nearby Jewish towns in southern Israel resulted in Gaza's main electrical power station shutting down at the weekend.

The Palestinians claimed that the closure left much of the territory in darkness, and forced local hospitals to suspend medical care. Abbas transmitted urgent telegrams to international leaders demanding that Israel be made to lift what he called its "siege" of Gaza.

However, senior employees of the Israel Electric Company noted in an interview with Ynet that Israel supplies more than 70% of Gaza's electrical needs, so the closure of the Gaza plant should not result in a major power shortage.

One electric company official expressed outrage over the Palestinian effort to demonize Israel, explaining that hundreds of electric company employees working at Israel's largest power plant in the southern coastal city of Ashkelon are daily putting their lives at risk to supply electricity to Gaza while terrorists operating from the Palestinian territory are firing rockets at them.

Additionally, Israel Electric Company employees are often sent at great risk to themselves to repair transformers in the Gaza vicinity to prevent a power shortage to the Palestinians, despite the fact that it is the Palestinians' own rockets that often knock out the transformers.

Israeli army officials also called out the Palestinians after international media broadcast images of a blacked-out Gaza where thousands of residents were seen carrying candles. The officials said the blackout images were a charade organized by Hamas and utilized by the Palestinian Authority to increase global criticism of Israel.

Abbas' threat was seen in Jerusalem as an attempt to bring American pressure on Israel to cease its war on terror. US President George W. Bush is determined to oversee a final status Israeli-Palestinian peace deal by the end of his term, and told both sides when he visited the region earlier this month to engage in intense non-stop negotiations until that goal is reached.

Yeah w.o.r.d. and it''s sad because not only

do the Jews suffer for it, but so do the lowly Arabs whom many don''t hate the Jews. They just want to live in peace also but they know thier leaders want nothing to do with it! A plus is that Arab women are coming to Christ secretly in droves! Islam offers them no hope, but the moment just one gets saved they realize Jesus is the only hope for them and thier families. They know they can get other women to listen because Islam hates women by thier treatment of them, but Christ shows them they can find true love even if it is without thier husbands following them in it. I, myself, haven''t taken the time to research and find all the "Plethra" of artcles of recent events, though I would love to find everything and try to put it all together - almost like a "Murder Mystery" that is like a giant puzzle that, and with the proper amount of work and research, could probaby be fairly accurately predicted!!!

Your theory/idea is/was a great one.. and extremely plausible and possible... I do believe that there is a very clever scheme going on, a deliberate, willful and calculated plan that is being carried out and that we (being Israel, US, others) may be running straight into it as we remain blinded in our own political turmoil and problems.... "keep looking at the big picture", I could be wrong, but sure seems something fishy is going on!!! Seems to much is taking place all at once for this not to be true!!!!!

1. North Korea Nuke test then after a successful test, things have gotten very quiet as North Korea claims that it is dismantleing (we know thats not true)
2 - Israel took out nuke sites in Syria just months ago.
3 - China building up its military and acting (testy) with American Vesels.
4 - Russia - bomber incidents with Britain/US, providing weapons and support to Iran, Syria, etc. etc.etc
5 - Iran/Amadinajad playing Russian Rulet with US and UN intelligence and IAEA

"What I have been wondering and keeping an eye out for is" - who could it be and is it happening now??? Was G-d in these verses speaking generally to the land of Gog/Magog??? Or was He directing His words to the specific leaders of these countries/nations??? Could it be Amadinajad? Could it be Putin??? Could it be Kim Jong Ill (Norh Korean President)???
