British media group to combat anti-Israel bias

Prominent British journalist Adel Darwish told The Jerusalem Post last week that his new media watchdog organization, Just Journalism, is gearing up to hold the British print and broadcast media accountable for biased coverage of Israel.

According to the Just Journalism website, "core journalistic principles are regularly being compromised, and...reporting is often far from impartial, accurate or balanced" in British media coverage of Israel and the Middle East.

As such, viewers are left unable to develop educated and informed opinions of Israel and its role in the Middle East conflict, explained Darwish.

Darwish stressed that Just Journalism does not exist to advance a pro-Israel agenda, but said that he and others like him can no longer passively sit by as the mainstream media repeatedly violates the very principles it claims to uphold.

Just Journalism's first full-length report is due to be published in May. Their website can be found at: www.justjournalism.com
