2 Israelis hurt by Palestinian mortars

Palestinian forces operating out of the northern Gaza Strip fired several mortar shells into southern Israel on Tuesday, hitting a small farming community and wounding two people.

Earlier in the day, Gaza-based terrorists fired five mortar shells at the Israeli-manned Kissufim Crossing terminal. There were no injuries or damage in that attack.

In other violence, a Palestinian Arab youth attacked and snatched the head covering off an elderly Jewish woman outside Hebron's Cave of the Patriarchs on Tuesday. Police arrested the youth, but let him go after three hours of detention.

Immediately following his release, the Arab proceeded to beat a 7-year-old Jewish child and steal his bike. Police again arrested the youth, and are this time considering a more lengthy detention.
