Poll: Israelis happy with life in Israel

A full 91 percent of Israelis say life is good in Israel, according to the results of a recently conducted poll published by Israel's Yediot Ahronot newspaper on Monday.

Seventy percent of respondents said they are never embarrassed of being Israeli, and 64 percent said they would never consider leaving Israel, even if they had the opportunity to move to any other country.

Asked what they felt was Israel's greatest achievement in the 60 years since its rebirth as a nation-state, a 31 percent plurality voted for Israel's stunning victory in the 1967 Six Day War, which brought the Golan Heights, Judea, Samaria and Gaza back under Jewish rule for the first time in 2,000 years.

The poll is carried out every year ahead of Israel's Independence Day.
